Callander Thistle Football Club, re-established in 2005 by Mike Kerr, Hugh Devlin, and Angela McLellan, numbers nearly a hundred kids playing from U10 to U19 age groups. In February 2008, after a twenty year gap, Camp Place Park was given home pitch status, ending the nomadic use of other pitches in the surrounding area.
Callander Thistle FC aims to provide an opportunity for all young people to mature and develop, not only as footballers, but also as individuals. Our main emphasis is to provide a platform where our young people can grow in confidence and acquire team building skills which will help them throughout their adult life. It is also a perfect introduction for a child of any ability into the rules and ethics of the football game while at the same time having fun. The club has been so successful that it have now expanded to include an amateur adult side.
So, please have a look through our website. If your child dreams of becoming a professional footballer, be involved in league games or simply wants to make friends and have some fun, then Callander Thistle is the place to be.
The club continues to thrive on the enthusiasm and passion shown by our young people, coaches and parents in the Callander community and offers a long overdue opportunity for all those in the area who enjoy watching and playing the beautiful game. Heartfelt thanks to all those involved who selflessly give much time and energy throughout the season.
